There exists a special relationship of the Katukina with the Kambo medicine, which is considered to be a big part of the tribal culture and knowledge. They make a very special rapé, which belongs to the absolute favorites of many. It takes you to the heart of the Amazon, where ancesteral knowledge and sacred medicinal plants meet. Do you want to learn more about the Katukina people?

Common use & effect

This flowery blend of pulverized passionflower, mapacho and Tsunu bark ashes (Platycyamus regnellii) delivers an aromatic bouquet to the nose. The Tsunu delivers a sharp punch, may make your eyes water and cause you to break out in sweat. The passionflower softens the blow and puts you back into your seat. When smoked, the neuropharmalogical effects of Passiflora incarnata haven been compared to those of the Cannabis sativa. It is known that passionflower is a mild source of MAO-inhibiting alkaloids such as harmine and harmaline and should therefor not be used in combination with anti-depressants, alcohol or drugs.

Support the Global Spirtual Awakening!

With your support we can help many families and indigenous tribes across the Amazon to get a sustainable and viable source of income. We currently work with more than 50 local families, and 10 different indigenous tribes. The growing threat of industrialization, westernization and land appropriation endangers the sustainability of tribal cultures and the lands they live on. Together we fight against deforestation and support the cultivation of the lands and ancient plant wisdom.  The ethnobotanicals are carefully selected and imported in order to support the entire chain, from grower to end consumers. By supporting Native Snuff you become part of the global spiritual awakening that is necessary, and will eventually to heal the earth!
